Letter to the Editor,
Hello to you "our friends" of Crusade Ministries.
We are grateful to live in, and be an American. I am also thankful to be a born again Christian, and to have the privilege to live and work in Tennessee.
I wanted to speak to you about several topics. One is the date for Area Wide Crusade in Union County. It is scheduled for May 6 thru 10, 2001 at Wilson Park in Maynardville. Our school board voted 6-0 to give permission to our students to attend under the "release time" law to provide "religious instruction" in an off campus setting.
Prayer in School (PINS) is alive in Union and Granger Counties. Please do not forget to pray at least four minutes each morning as close to 8:15 AM as possible to protect our teachers and students at school. I have asked, under the leadership of the Holly Spirit, that we pray for our schools, our county, our state, and our nation. Remember our court house workers and elected officials who are praying each morning on location in the court room. I am grateful for this effort and recommend other counties follow this example.
We are traveling across America, assisting our students, that prayer in school will again be part of their school day. Crusades are included in our agenda and it appears that another neighbor county will soon host a Crusade for their students. We are receiving requests at the rate of one to three states per day, asking for help with PINS and Crusades. I am willing to travel to these areas to inform, equip and assist in every possible means to assure the students in America's public schools that they have the right to voluntary prayer each day. I will continue to serve as Pastor of Fairview Baptist Church and Crusade Ministries. Ruth and I will relocate in the community somewhere with a small house to call home. We will be traveling for the next few years , God willing, and wherever and whenever were called upon, we plan to go. We have received calls from South Florida to Juneau, Alaska to California and many states in between. I pray it becomes evident to you of the greatness of the need for our team of Crusade Ministries people, and finally for Ruth and me.
Thank you for your prayerful and financial support of Crusade Ministries. We have never asked for financial help, only prayers. We are continuing on the same path, believing that when we are following God's leadership in service, he will speak to hearts and supply need. Currently we are setting up an office with part-time secretarial help. Also, God has instructed me to buy a motor home to work in. Ruth and I are liquidating our assets to support this work. We need $200,000 to launch a national effort of Prayer in School and crusades in every school district in America. They deserve this opportunity to return to prayer each school day. By the Grace of god, this to me is a reality, even a done deal. Because God said it I believe it.
I will be calling on you soon to help defeat the gambling issue in Tennessee. Watch and pray - the devil is at work.
Sincerely,
Pastor Gary Beeler
